While Basketball Operations runs the league’s on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world’s most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the NBA’s success.Position Summary:Provide analytical support on ad-hoc compensation consulting projects and reporting.This is a 10 month project employee position based out of the NBA’s New York office.Major Responsibility:* Provide analytical support on ad-hoc compensation consulting projects and reporting.* Serve as a day-to-day point of contact with our compensation survey vendors.* Participate in annual salary surveys and pulse reports.* Identify market trends and gaps between NBA employees and market.* Own the market matching process for the full suite of the NBA’s jobs.* Coordinate with HRIS on processing compensation actions.* Conduct periodic audits to ensure maximum accuracy and integrity of compensation data.* Act as first point of contact on general compensation requests from HR COEs.* Collaborate with compensation leads to make process improvements and policy changes.* Suggest changes and additions to the NBA’s job architecture.* Manage the development and maintenance of salary ranges, job grades, and job families.* Administer executive contracts and assist with the relevant executive reporting.Required Skills/Knowledge:* Up to two years’ relevant work/office experience – preferably in Human Resources.* Experience in Excel, including building analyses and models.* Proficiency in Power Point and MS Word applications.* Ability to prioritize effectively, while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to multi-task with an exceptional attention to detail.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or related discipline preferredWe Consider Applicants For All Positions On The Basis Of Merit, Qualifications And Business Needs, And Without Regard To Race, Color, National Origin, Religion, Sex, Gender Identity, Age, Disability, Alienage Or Citizenship Status, Ancestry, Marital Status, Creed, Genetic Predisposition Or Carrier Status, Sexual Orientation, Veteran Status, Familial Status, Status As A Victim Of Domestic Violence Or Any Other Status Or Characteristic Protected By Applicable Federal, State, Or Local Law.Nearest Major Market: ManhattanNearest Secondary Market: New York CityJob Segment: Consulting, HR, Compensation, Information Systems, HRIS, Technology, Human Resources
