Day Shift. Flexible hours to meet the class need for BLS and NRP.

The NRP/BLS Coordinator for Neonatal Services is responsible for administration and operations of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Neonatal Services’ employees at Main Campus Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH).

The coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating skills and simulation-based education initiatives of the NRP and BLS, in addition to other emergency and resuscitation-focused training. The coordinator will focus on the following items:

* Learning Facilitator

* Change Agent

* Mentor

* Partner for Practice Transition

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in the field of nursing required.

Licensure Requirement RN, Ohio

Certifications: Current NRP Provider, prefer NRP Instructor. Current BLS Provider, prefer BLS Instructor. Computer programming knowledge preferred.

Skills

* Competency in nursing clinical practice

* Proficiency in information management skills required.

* Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation skills required.

* Previous EMR software experience preferred.

* Computer programming knowledge preferred.

* Special expertise in skills-based training.

Experience

* At least three years of neonatal intensive care clinical experience required.

* Prior experience must demonstrate the ability to work well with individuals of various backgrounds and motivate them to work toward competency development.

* Demonstrated skills-based teaching experience.

* Simulation experience preferred.

* Experience in role playing and debriefing helpful.
