We are seeking an Analytics and Data Visualization Specialist to join our team based in New York. This role is responsible for leading the creation, maintenance and training of Nespresso’s data visualization & business reporting environment. The Visualization Specialist is a data visionary – leading efforts to create clear, compelling visualizations from complex data sources. This person is a proactive, analytical individual contributor responsible for developing interactive and actionable dashboards, analyses and reporting as well as a data structure which can be shared by others to create their own ad hoc visaulizations.
A Day in the Life:
• Design, develop, and implement advanced visualization applications and executive-level interactive dashboards to communicate advanced analytics models and solutions
• Engage with stakeholders and analytics business partners to understand business needs and translate requirements into advanced visualization designs and sustainable tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data scientists to understand requirements, models and advanced analytics solutions and identify optimal approaches to visualize and report dynamic outputs
• Collaborate with data engineers to design the architecture required to support visualization applications and to ensure sustainable and timely data pipelines and successful implementation and maintenance
• Drive user adoption of visualization applications and evangelize data-driven decision making across Nespresso
• Create documentation and deliver training to business users on the use of advanced tools and systems
• Establish subject matter expertise and strongly influence Nespresso’s data visualization strategy
• Provide leadership to relevant third-party contractors & vendors
– Represents Nespresso on Nestle data & reporting community, recommend new approaches that can add value to the existing reporting & dashboard environment
– Build POCs to explore new features, tools & technologies
– Collaborate with other NIM visualization professionals to share best practices & techniques
Winning Skillsets:
Education:
• Bachelors degree, required
• Masters Degree, preferably in quantitative field, preferred
• Minimum 3-4 years of hands on data visualization experience
• Minimum 2 years of full life cycle development. Agile delivery experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of design or development experience using one or more of the following visualization tools: PowerBi, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, Spotfire, or SAP Lumira. Experience in PowerBI preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of data modelling experience
•Must be familiar and experienced in SQL.
