Our growing team is looking for an HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources department! We believe locating the right fit is the most important thing for both sides. The type of person we are looking for is career ready, can always maintain confidential information and discretion, and is creative with ideas for solutions to issues or events.
Role:
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. The Human Resource Coordinator makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the HR Manager as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. This is a part time role with approximately 25-30 hrs. expected.
This position reports to the HR Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Tracks status of candidates in HRIS
· Assists with recruitment and interview process reviewing applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions
· Conducts phone screenings and schedules preliminary interviews
· Responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process
· Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HRM
· Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
· Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
· Prepares new-employee files
· Files documents into appropriate employee files
· Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
· May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports
· Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
· Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters
· Assists with processing of terminations
· Assists with the Training Coordinator with needs regarding preparation of the performance review process
· Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
· Provides clerical support to the HR department
· May conduct or assist with new hire orientation
· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
· Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans
· Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits and other compliance reviews
· May perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
· Prepares purchase orders for human resource office
