REPORTING TO: Director of Human Resources
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of all phases of Human Resources for a Behavioral Health Organization and function under direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources (DHR). The incumbent is required to assist in fulfilling the Company s commitment to servicing employee needs through timely and accurate communication and follow up on employee relations; recruiting and employment; performance management; compensation; benefits; talent management; training; and organization development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes HR activities that support the objectives and strategy of the Company. A business partner with the DHR, Executive Director, directors, program managers and supervisors regarding employee related business issues.
Participate in HR initiatives that support other Company-wide matters
Employee Relations
Provides effective employee relations support. Counsels employees and assists managers and supervisors with disciplinary matters; evaluates and determines corrective action, and guides supervisors on proper counseling and disciplinary actions
Assists local management to establish practices that create an “employer-of-choice” reputation
Responsible for managing the Recruiting, Staffing and Retention process
Creates recruiting initiatives to ensure staffing requirements are achieved
Manages recruiting processes to effectively administer local recruiting efforts
Ensures results relative to diversity oriented recruiting & staffing issues
Track and report on metrics and costs of recruiting efforts
Audits HR activities and administrative processes
Compliance
Works with local management and DHR to ensure consistent application of company policies and implementation of company programs
Assists DHR maintain federal, state, and local compliance reporting and tracking requirements
Assures HR processes are implemented effectively, fairly and equitably throughout the organization
Investigate, review and resolve alleged internal company compliance issues, and external government agency inquiries (EEOC, DOL, etc.)
Talent Management
Supports and oversees the performance management system that fosters feedback and continuous improvement
Reviews all personnel changes and makes recommendations to the DHR, ED and directors
Develops and ensures delivery of new hire orientation to foster new employee success and positive attitudes toward organization objectives
Develop and conduct supervisor/manager leadership skills training
Supports training needs and makes suggestions towards implementing training initiatives
Manages, directs, and evaluates the development and retention of current employees
Benefits & Compensation
Supports Corporate s benefits management efforts
Analyzes local market and makes compensation recommendations that support the budget and business goals
Advises and communicates to employees regarding company benefits programs
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruiting, talent management, compensation, benefits and employee relations
Knowledge of employment law, including Worker s Compensation, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc.
Strong business orientation
Strong PC skills (Microsoft Windows environment)
Experience in handling investigations and employee relations issues
Must have valid driver s license
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
Directly supervises the Human Resources team and staffing office
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
BA/BS in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related field
4+ years direct professional Human Resources Generalist experience (additional experience in other business functions is valuable)
Human Resources Information System management (Paycor is a plus!)
Preferred:
PHR certification
Experience with staffing health care entities
