We are seeking to hire a proactive, strategic team player for the Office of Governmental Affairs who will engage in policy education and advocacy activities with Congress and federal agencies on behalf of New York Life. The position will cover issues such as retirement and annuities, investments, and climate-related ESG issues. This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Head of Governmental Affairs, Julie Herwig. This role will be based in Washington, D.C.
The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting with New York Life’s business experts and state and federal governmental affairs colleagues, as well as relevant trade associations and coalitions, to develop and implement strategies for achieving legislative and regulatory outcomes that are favorable to the interests of New York Life and its policyholders.
