Position Summary:
NYU’s School of Law seeks a candidate who will assist the Offices of Academic Services, Records and Registration and Information Technology move towards more efficient processes for registration and exam administration. The incumbent will directly to the Director of Systems Operations & Student Information Management Records and Registration in the Office of Academic Services and Registration. Assist the Director with scheduling exam rooms, answering exam support questions, configuring exam software, helping to grade multiple choice exams, and ensuring that both offices align their efforts and coordinate effectively. Continually review and revise student facing services to improve turnaround times and move towards paperless processes. Work between Academic Services and Law IT as the departments work to integrate applications which interface with existing Law School systems (i.e. PeopleSoft, Course Management System). Incumbent will assist the director with resolving data feed and API issues between course management, event scheduling and student information systems. Assess and make recommendations on policies and procedures to ensure that systems of record are up to date and properly maintained. Work closely with Academic Services, Law IT and NYU IT to evaluate and upgrade existing Law School applications and processes. Partner with functional and technical leads to implement a new student information system as well as new supporting technologies which enhance registration and examination activities. Manage monthly call center ing, ticket metrics and develop customer service metrics and standards and implement service level agreements for the department. Supervise staff and ensure that appropriate coverage is provided for records and registration requests. Identify and prioritize assignments for union staff to ensure deadlines are met. The qualified candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and technical duties including those of a confidential nature. Assist with registration, grading, and graduation by running various s. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department’s activities, policies, programs, and applications. As a member of a cross-departmental exam team, provide direct administrative and technical guidance to students during the exam periods. Maintain student records using various databases and ing tools. Compose letters and correspondence, perform general word processing, spreadsheet and data entry duties utilizing intermediate-level functions.

Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years working with an online student data information system (i.e. PeopleSoft) in a college or university setting. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong project management skills.

Knowledge of IT service management, programming and database technologies
