Newport Hotel Group is searching for recent graduates to join our Management In Training program! The position starts at $25 with opportunities for two $1 pay increases within the year long program. It is anticipated to be promoted at the end of the year long program into a leadership role. In addition, the company is offering a SIGN ON AND SEASONAL BONUS with payouts each month for up to a five month time period depending on date of hire.
ABOUT THE MANAGEMENT IN TRAINING PROGRAM WITH A FOCUS IN HUMAN RESOURCES
Our MIT program is a 12-month rotational opportunity. As an MIT, you will gain hands-on experience and in-depth exposure to hotel operations and Human Resources. Trainees will work in all positions throughout the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Human Resources Departments. Through this experience MITs will gain a comprehensive understanding of how hotels operate while developing their leadership skills.
As MITs will transition locations, housing is provided at $125 a week. Trainees will be eligible for a refund incentive of $25 per week paid should they perform at a satisfactory level, complete the yearlong program, return housing in the condition it was received (clean, neat, organized, etc.), and adhere to the Agreement for Overnight Accommodations. The refund will be given upon the completion of the yearlong program and at the discretion of the employer.
WHO CAN APPLY – Recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Business and experience in hospitality or other related professions are preferred.

- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

- Desire to develop as a leader in the hospitality field.
- Be willing and able to work in various positions throughout the Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Human Resources Departments. As needed, be willing and able to work in the Food and Beverage Department.
- As this is a rotating position not only through various departments at the hotel but also locations company wide, candidates must be flexible and available to travel as directed to Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Wyoming.
