• Works independently and with cross functional teams to prepare and submit complete and accurate bid documentation including, requests for deviation, technical proposal documents, qualifications summaries, contract deliverables, pricing and delivery proposals and contractual documentation.
• Reviews requests for proposals (RFPs), plans and specs, and performing cost estimating functions.
• Leads cross functional contributors through the review of infrastructure, design-build specifications and the development of infrastructure and charging systems, design-build, and competitive bid strategy.
• Develops infrastructure pricing recommendations based on the competitive environment, estimated project costs and company profit expectations.
• Ensures validation of margins is completed and secures all necessary approvals in accordance with company policy.
• Initiates internal New Flyer processes for the infrastructure portion of bids. Manages activities within work cell and functional team to complete all tasks by the required due dates.
• Leads post-mortem review of wins/losses with Technical Sales Team and Regional Sales Managers with a view towards recommending changes and improvements to New Flyer’s commercial and technical value proposition.
• Develops relationships with the customer procurement teams. Answers customer questions and works with the Regional Sales Managers and Technical Sales Analysts to obtain a clear definition of customer needs and expectations.
• Keeps abreast of electric and hydrogen infrastructure industry standards, FTA procurement requirements and related bus technology including participating on committees to establish standards and protocols.
• Provides input to Infrastructure Solutions metrics and strategic goals.
• Participates in project meetings to ensure scope transition.

• University degree in engineering, construction management, business, math, economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience estimating construction and infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of engineering and construction specifications, plans and contract language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (ex: Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• PMP Certification would be considered an asset.
• Project or construction management experience considered an asset.
• Prior experience in a transit agency considered an asset.
