Position Title: Medical Billing & Collections Specialist – Facilities

Position Summary: The Medical Billing & Collections Specialist – Facilities is responsible for the timely billing and collecting of all facility charges in accordance with established contracts. This includes all aspects of facility billing with particular focus on generating revenue by timely billing, making payment arrangements, securing purchase orders, collecting accounts, monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts. The billing & collections specialist will proactively identify problems in the billing process and work with internal and external stakeholders to develop an efficient solution. Other responsibilities include maintaining current billing forms and payments received, updating electronic medical and billing records (USMON) with updated facility and supply billing, and providing regular reporting on key performance indicators.
