The Sr. Program Manager – HR Compliance sits in the HR Governance organization and manages the HR compliance portfolio. This role provides central compliance oversight and partners with compliance owners to build and maintain healthy compliance programs within the HR function.
A day in the life…
Partner with Legal and compliance owners to identify legislative changes, determine programmatic owners, and ensure appropriate compliance controls are in place by legal deadlines and are compliant with all federal, state/provincial, local, and regulatory requirements.
Regularly review compliance programs with compliance owners to assess the health and effectiveness of existing programs. Advise on opportunities and process improvements when needed.
Develop success metrics, scorecards and collect data to be used in presentations and reports to measure and showcase the outcomes of supported programs and overall health of HR compliance portfolio.
Review and consult on HR compliance standards (training, communication, processes) to maintain consistency across enterprise.
Maintain and review HR Compliance BOW with compliance owners and Legal.
Project manage cross-functional compliance initiatives.
Build strong partnerships within HR and the business.
Maintain confidential information when required by legal or ethical standards and professionalism .
Manage special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
You own this if you have…
+5 years of program management experience
HR compliance, policy or legal experience preferred
Proven ability to excel with ambiguity and to adapt a continuously evolving environment.
Exposure and knowledge of complex HR processes preferred (e.g., I-9 verification for remote employees)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees across all organizational levels
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships and influence up and down the pyramid.
Organizational and planning skills, including being able to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines with minimal supervision and to self-manage projects
