Experience working with preschool aged childrenInstruct students in academic subjects, using a variety of techniques such as phonetics, multi-sensory learning, and repetition, in order to reinforce learning and to meet students’ varying needs and interests.ABA experience- implementing behavior plans, teaching using ABA methodology in discrete trial and incidental contextsCrisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certified (provided by the district)Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learningDevelops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established district procedures and curriculum frameworksInstruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipmentUse relevant technology to support and differentiate instructionManage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and proceduresMaintain discipline in accordance with the rules and policies of the school districtEncourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use data to adjust teaching strategiesMaintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and developmentUpdate all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulationsParticipate in department, school, district and parent meetingsCommunicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needsPrepare the classroom for class activitiesProvide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activitiesObserve and evaluate students performance and developmentDemonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgroundsParticipate in professional development activities in and outside the districtAny other relative duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal or Principal
