Under general supervision and with moderate difficulty performs human resources administrative work in a variety of human resource functions, focusing in one or more of the following areas: Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, HR/Payroll Processing, Leave Administration, Worker’s Compensation, Training and Development, HR Files Maintenance, Compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the process of attracting, finding, acquiring, assessing, and hiring candidates to meet labor, grant, and state/federal requirements
Orientation and Onboarding
Coordinate and conduct employee orientation to assist new hires in understanding the agency’s mission, structure, culture, benefits, policies, and expectations.
Collaborate with departments to provide onboarding to assist new employees to be successful in their position and within the Agency.
Human Resources / Payroll Data Entry
Review and process all personnel and payroll related actions during the course of an employee’s employment to ensure data accuracy, approval levels, and compliance with policy, federal and state regulations
Human Resources Files
Maintains the department’s Human Resources files to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and retention schedule
Training and Development
Assess, develop, conduct, and evaluate technical training in assigned duties and responsibilities to identify needs and ensure applications of business processes and policies are consistent throughout the Agency
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, or a related discipline, and two years’ experience in Human Resources; OR any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
Must be able to pass a criminal background, Motor Vehicle Report, and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance
