**Northrop Grumman Mission Systems** is seeking a **Manufacturing Manager Band 1/2** to join our **Linthicum, MD** facility **. BWI West,** **Radar Systems I&T** **.**
The **Manufacturing Manager Band 1/2** is responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 20-25 represented (union) employees and processes in a **Manufacturing and Test** environment.
**What Youll get to Do:**
**The Manufacturing Manager** is expected to work independently across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented EMS Operators and/or Sensors & Systems Technicians to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule; and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and/or M&P Specialist.
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Providing direction to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies
+ Discussing test details and results with test technicians and engineering
+ Driving employee efficiency
+ Meeting product cost and schedule targets
+ Managing the area to produce quality products
+ Engaging employees to achieve their highest potential
+ Implementing process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule.
+ Performing required SAP/MS transactions
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and ability, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
**Basic Qualifications M1:**
+ Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience; Masters Degree with 3 years of experience; PhD with 0 years of experience (Note, 9+ years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
+ At least 2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment
+ US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level Security Clearance is required
**Basic Qualifications M2:**
+ Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience; Masters Degree with 6 years of experience; PhD with 3 years of experience (Note, 12+ years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
+ At least 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment.
+ US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level Security Clearance is required.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors Degree in business, engineering, or other STEM area.
+ Background in RF testing or a related field.
+ Experience working with Integrated Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.)
+ Previous project or personnel management experience.
+ Experience with T-Specs and OTSAs.
+ Prior experience working in a represented (union) environment.
+ Experience with SAP/MES.
+ Lean Manufacturing Experience.
Salary Range: $106,000.00 – $159,000.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
