Position Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in management or field of assigned specialty with five (5) plus years experience in Finance, Business, Consulting, Healthcare Administration, Operations Improvement, etc.
The Business Operations Manager is responsible for working with department leadership on a daily basis to manage and improve day-to-day department operations. With a focus on daily operational performance, the Business Operations Manager will work directly with leadership to establish the appropriate priorities, facilitate issue identification and resolution internally and across departments, establish goals for performance improvement, and monitor trends in key performance indicators. Designs and recommends processes, systems, procedures and operational changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Assists with resource management for staffing and appropriate utilization of external resources. Within the Clinical Lab, the Business Operations Manager will meet departmental turnaround time and quality goals with a focus on specimen collection and processing and tissue bank.
