Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate RN for our Operating Room. The person in this position will be an experienced licensed Registered Nurse, who provides patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team based on national standards and utilizing the nursing process. The Registered Nurse also is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said patient care. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR), some of your task and responsibilities will be to:

Demonstrate knowledge of specific disease processes, treatments, interventions, and responses based on age specificity.

Confirm the identity of the patient.

Verify operative procedure and site.

Assure documentation of vital signs.

Verify allergies.
-
Note condition of the skin.
-
Report deviation of diagnostic studies.

Determine mobility of body parts.
-
Note abnormalities, injuries, and previous surgeries.

Identify the presence of external and internal prosthesis/implants.

Note sensory impairment.
-
Complete assessment of cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal status.

Note nutritional status.
-
Screen for substance abuse.
-
Communicate physiological data relevant to planning patient’s discharge.

Continuously reassess and document all components of patient care based on relevant data.

Communicate/document physical health status.

Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.
- One year of Acute Care Nursing experience preferred.
- CNOR preferred.
- Graduate from a school of nursing (ASN) required. BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience required.
