Function
This is a senior-level position that leads development and process improvements for IT supported systems. Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements. The ability to understand and document complex business processes. Create specifications, diagrams. Perform ROI analysis for proposed IT projects. Effectively communicate and document IT projects per SOX requirements. The ability to take on primary support responsibility for existing applications and work independently.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Entry:
Working knowledge of computer systems hardware and software capabilities. Working knowledge of system diagrams, design, and analysis. The ability to utilize programming principles and practices. Knowledge of creating and maintaining effective documentation. Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Minimum Qualifications for Application:
Bachelor’s degree in a computer related area or College-level coursework that includes 30 computer science credits and five years of proven ERP related experience; OR ten years of ERP work experience in operations, programming and system analysis. The ability to develop applications using various languages including: AS/400 RPG & CL. Previous experience in an automotive supplier is preferred.

Considerable knowledge of how the computer needs and resources of the company interface with other providers of information services. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and debug computer equipment, applications and systems. Strong customer-service orientation. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication. Highly motivated and self-directed, with keen attention to detail.
Principal Activities
Examples of work performed:
This position will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting the JD Edwards World ERP and RFSmart system (1D & 2D barcode experience), patch management and operational support task. Provide user support for JD Edwards manufacturing, distribution, and financial systems. The creation or modification of custom applications used in a major manufacturer. Lead projects for software that will be interfaced with the current ERP system or future ERP systems such as Enterprise One. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide a project plan. Provide training to end users on IT implemented systems. Prototype new procedures for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry computer equipment such as personal computer monitors, processing units, etc. is required.
Environmental factors:
Duties are performed in a manufacturing environment and standard office setting. Work in manufacturing will require safety shoes and glasses. Some maintenance work on assigned equipment may be necessary and some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. Position may be required to carry a cellular phone and/or pager to respond to issues outside of normal business hours.
