The Division of Child and Family Well-Being is seeking a self-motivated, executive with a coaching leadership style to head the Office of Child Care Operations. The Office of Child Care Operations (CCOPs) provides a range of resources to support access to child care vouchers for eligible low-income families. These vouchers serve more than 25,000 families across New York City and are used at hundreds of community-based child care programs and providers.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in managing large operations that provide government-regulated and funded benefits or services to families and proven experience in leading and motivating a large operation to achieve optimal outcomes for children and families. In addition, the candidate must have the required proficiencies to ensure that the operations comply with appropriate city, state and federal regulations and policies. The role requires the ability to carry multiple priorities forward at once, to adapt operations to a changing child care landscape (e.g., policy changes or expansion efforts), and to communicate effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
