THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE/GRANT FUNDED
$15.37 to $16.91 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Merritt Island Service Complex. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced office and clerical work involving the performance of various clerical and/or secretarial assignments for the Housing & Human Services Department, which require the application of some independent judgment and the interpretation of policies and procedures. Routine decisions are made in accordance with established office policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS: One (1) year of experience in clerical or secretarial work. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other similar software is preferred. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass the Brevard County typing test at 35 correct words per minute. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
