Ohio Steel Industries, a privately-owned company located in Columbus that is seeking an HR Coordinator to help work in our accounting department. This person will help support the administrative duties related to guiding employees through the various stages of hiring, answering questions and following up as needed. The ideal candidate should be familiar with HR duties and have a broad knowledge of Human resources and duties. This candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with both internal and external associates.

Duties will include:

• Day to day support of the recruitment process, including all associated documents necessary to on board an applicant.
• Manage employee records including updating and correcting, as necessary.
• Help with benefits administration including updates to various providers as well as the payroll records.
• Respond to questions from candidates regarding the new hire process including all forms and pre-employment screening processes.
• Provide a source of daily communication to all associates regarding inquiries and issues.

Experience requirements:

Prefer an individual with at least 3 years of human resource experience in similar duties. Previous experience in payroll as well as familiarity with UKG time keeping systems is a plus.

The individual must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. They must be organized and have a sense of time management as they approach daily tasks.
