Olivet College is located 20‑30 minutes from the urban centers of Battle Creek and the capital city of Lansing. Located on I‑69 within a few miles of the I‑94 interchange, the college is centrally located between Detroit and Chicago and conveniently situated to the major population centers of Michigan, Greater Chicago, Northern Indiana-Indianapolis, and Northern Ohio.
Job Summary
The Community Service Coordinator/Recruiter (CSC/R) works in collaboration with the service learning director, faculty and college leadership on the design, development, and implementation of a vibrant and engaging community service program that provides personal growth opportunities for all students at Olivet College. The CSC/R also works to recruit new students with interest in community service/ service learning to the college, serves as the director of the “Difference Maker” scholarship program. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with college students and external collaborators on community service projects.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Service Coordinator/Recruiter (CSC/R) works in collaboration with the service learning director, faculty and college leadership on the design, development, and implementation of a vibrant and engaging community service program that provides personal growth opportunities for all students at Olivet College. The CSC/R works with community partners to develop collaborative relationships that yield learning-through-service opportunities and/or that support service learning partnerships. He or she coordinates events to connect student community service participants with appropriate service opportunities, and gathers and acts upon feedback from students, faculty, and community partners to set goals and assess goal achievement. The CSC/R works to recruit new students with interest in community service/ service learning to the college, serves as the director of the “Difference Maker” scholarship program and supervises scholarship recipients as leaders and facilitators of service projects as part of the student service corps.
