Summary:
The Compensation Manager is responsible for managing the compensation function for the company. The compensation manager plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures to align with the company’s goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
What you’ll do as our next Compensation Manager:
Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
1. Serves as an internal consultant as it relates to compensation programs to meet the needs of the organization.
2. Design compensation packages and bonus programs that align with the company’s strategic plan.
3. Ensure salaries comply with the current legislation about human rights and pay equity
4. Manages the administration of compensation programs, processes, and operations.
5. Manages preparation and delivery of communication and education materials for compensation programs.
6. Completes the study, analysis, design, evaluation, implementation, administration, and communication of current compensation programs, policies, and procedures; develops recommendations for improvement.
7. Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees.
8. Monitors the effectiveness of compensation programs, policies, guidelines, and procedures, and recommends revisions or new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with the compensation strategy and philosophy.
9. Keep track of prevailing benchmarking data and pay rates and ensure we offer competitive compensation plans.
10. Participates in the job evaluation program oversight including the job evaluation process, the development, and maintenance of formal job grades and salary ranges, job analysis, and the preparation of written job descriptions.
11. Participates in salary surveys and oversight of global salary survey strategies, and in the collection and analysis of survey data to determine the competitiveness of compensation programs.
12. Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.
