ABOUT THE ROLE
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and administering HR plans and procedures. This role will be expected to plan, organize, and control activities and actions within the HR department, while contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems. The HR Manager will be the HR leader and part of the plant/facility leadership team, while reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing.
- Support the business unit/functional area by promotion, communicating, and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
- Build and maintain influential relationships by being a cross functional strategic partner with management and a team member advocate.
- Provide HR consultation and support to a designated business unit/functional area.
- Consult with business unit management in the strategic planning process and development of HR and business strategies that support the business needs.
- Provide guidance on employment law, coordinate performance management, and resolve team member relations issues.
- Acts as an expert on HR policies and procedures such as payroll, staffing, benefits, compensation, team member development and recruiting.
- Ensure processes are in place to plan, monitor, and appraise team member work results to coach and discipline team members.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establish personal networks, and participate in professional groups.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Eight (8) or more years of relevant HR experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and team member coaching skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of team members.
