JOB PURPOSE:
This position provides leadership, direction, and administration for all aspects of patient Care Management and serves as a leader in coordinating the delivery of health care services. The Director of Quality Management providers leadership through effective managerial and educational direction in the areas of:

• Clinical Guidelines, Standards of Care, and/or Standards of Practice
• Patient Safety and Adverse Events, including implementation of follow-up actions
• Patient Satisfaction
• Patient Grievances
• Periodic QI/QA assessments
• QI/QA report generating
• Quality and utilization of health center services
• Patient satisfaction and patient grievance processes
• Patient safety, including adverse events data
• All current quality parameters / metrics

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proper inherence to all quality operation policies, provide ongoing tracking and reporting of all quality related metrics:
• Establish, review and/or edit all OVP Health Care policies and procedures and Quality Team Charter.
• Provide ongoing OVP Health Care staff education on quality related measures and policies and procedures as indicated.
• Ensures inherence to all quality metrics, operational policies and address any items out of compliance concurrently.
• Works closely with operations managers and legal (Risk/Compliance)to address and track any patients and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
• Performs monthly (as indicated) assessments on safety drills and address any issues and/or concerns in a timely manner.
• Identify, analyze and address patient safety and adverse events and implementing follow-actions, as necessary.
• Performs monthly assessments on patient satisfactions and generates reports that include tracking and trending of each parameter.
• Complete periodic QI/QA assessments on at least a bi-monthly basis to inform the modification of the provision of health center services, as appropriate
• Produce and share reports on QI/QA to support decision-making and oversight by key leadership and by the governing board regarding the provision of health center services.
• Establishes and maintains good communication with staff, management, leadership and Board of Directors.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
• Serves all persons served by Ohio Valley Physicians and OVP Health Care.
• Demonstrate competence to provide care for the following patient populations: pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatrics
• All other duties associated to operational quality of the health center and other duties that maybe assigned
• Maybe asked to maintain inventory of supplies being mindful not to exceed par levels to control expense.
• Assists in pulling the patients/clients medical records and files applicable results or correspondence after review/signature of provider as necessary.
• Maintains safe work environment by following established infection control and safety guidelines. Follows proper equipment cleaning procedures.

• Attends continuing education and organizational programs. Maintains competencies and completes annualmandatory education requirements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position acts as the lead of the Quality Committee. He / She presents a summary report for approval tothe Quality Committee Members and the Board of Directors at least bi-monthly, either in person or via teleconference, to include but not limited to up-to-date data of:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School graduation or GED is required.
• Associates Degree in a healthcare related field of expertise is required, Bachelor’s Degree desired
• Three years’ work experience in healthcare management required, six years preferred.
• Medical terminology desired

TRAVEL:
Travel may include site visits throughout the organization on an as-needed basis.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This position may be either part or full time. The schedule is mostly dayshifts. However, may regularly require long hours and occasional weekend work.

COVID-19 VACCINATION POLICY

• All employees and providers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 per OVP Policy. If you are not currently “fully vaccinated”, or decline the vaccine, you must complete a rapid COVID-19 test on the first day of your work week each week. Testing is free and will need to be completed on the first workday of each week. Any positive COVID-19 test result should be followed with a confirmatory (PCR) test. Failure to complete testing will result in disciplinary action.*Although FDA approved and CDC recommended, an additional (third) or “booster dose” of the COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required in order for staff to be considered “fully vaccinated.”
• COVID screenings (with temperature check) remain MANDATORY for all corporate office staff and to enter any outpatient facility and the Recovery Center.
