PRIMARY PURPOSE Responsible for developing and coordinating program initiatives and activities in healthcare or other designated tasks including, but not limited to, training, supervision of volunteer and staff personnel, patient tracking, teaching, budget oversight, and carrying out the programmatic responsibilities of data analysis and reporting functions.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Education
– Must have a bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social services, business administration, or related fields.
Â
Experience
– Must have three (3) years of experience in healthcare or a comparable organization.
– Experience relevant healthcare field.

Equivalent Education and/or Experience
– May have an equivalent experience to substitute for the education requirements.
Â
Certification/Registration/Licensure
– Must have a Texas Class C. Driver s License and be insurable. Must have access to an automobile.
– Current license or certification in area of clinical expertise may be required.

– Must be able to communicate effectively with clinical staff, administration, external organizations, and other groups as needed.
– Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have demonstrated management ability.
– Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
– Must demonstrate competence in technical skills and knowledge related to the assigned clinical area.

Responsibilities
1. Oversees the maintenance and implementation of the designated or assigned program and ensures it meets the programmatic needs of all locations of care supported by the program in addition to any applicable other standards set by national organizations, grants, or others.
2. Educates instructors and/or staff from multi-disciplines in policies, protocols, procedures, standards, and management of specific patient populations as indicated. Participates in the evaluation of instructors’ knowledge and skills to determine compliance with established standards. Maintains the documentation of education. May also serve as an instructor or facilitator.
3. Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating program materials in accordance with Parkland and other regulatory standards.
4. Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring departmental goals related to the program. Monitors and reports activities supporting departmental goals according to established standards. Evaluates work-related activities to ensure support of the goals and mission of Parkland and the department.
5. May organize and/or serve on various workgroups and committees as assigned.
6. Tracks appropriate grant or other funds that may apply to the program.
7. Analyzes work processes and flows for the department and/or program and suggests or implements appropriate changes to improve work effectiveness, productivity and efficiency that support the overall goals of Parkland.
8. Develops protocols and procedures and participate in other performance improvement activities to improve service delivery and enhance patient outcomes.
9. Serve as an advocate for client/patient services development as well as a community resource to maximize the understanding and development of initiatives and additional programs.
10. Serves as an inter- and intra-departmental resource through committee and/or other workgroup-related activities. Serves as a member, resource, and/or consultant for the greater healthcare community as needed.
11. Under the direction of an assigned manager, gathers and organizes project data, analyzing the information using available project management tools and methods. Prepares appropriate documentation (presentations, demonstrations, and other reporting processes) to share information regarding program, project status, and complete other tasks or projects assigned.
