Executive Management/Strategy
Develop and drive HR initiatives and programs that align with and support business objectives
Establish HR measurements that support the accomplishment of strategic goals and communicate them with key stakeholders
Interpret information to determine return on investment and organizational impact when making decisions and recommendations
Direct change management and organizational development initiatives
Serve as a strategic partner in the acquisitions of new firms and advisors
Lead organizational communication efforts
HR Competencies, Policy and Compliance
Direct the functional areas of HR including, but not limited to retention, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organizational development, workers compensation, safety, training, diversity and special projects.
Ensure maintenance of records of transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, discipline, and performance appraisals.
Develop, update, administer and communicate compliant policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and company needs.
Ensure compliant employment practices to include all necessary reporting requirements for the IRS, DOL and any other appropriate parties.
Firm Culture and Employee Relations
Maintain a highly engaging culture, motivating employees, fostering an environment with high levels of teamwork, accountability, and communication.
Monitor and interpret trends and metrics around employee satisfaction, attrition and turnover.
Work closely with management and employees to provide consultation and guidance to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
Serve as a liaison between staff and administration and act as a first point of escalation to address and resolve complex employee relations issues and concerns
Manage any disciplinary actions, providing coaching and counseling as needed to managers
Plan and implement team bonding and company events to foster camaraderie among the team
Set and oversee ethical and cultural awareness and diversity strategies in order to foster an inclusive workplace
Recruiting & Onboarding
Manage the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent
Actively participate in the interviewing and hiring process
Provide onboarding support to new hires and newly acquired teams, overseeing the creation of offer letters, new employee documentation, conducting effective orientation sessions, and monitoring ongoing success of recent hires
Talent & Performance Management
Create a sound repeatable process for conducting meaningful and actionable annual performance reviews
Provide effective training and development programs to increase employee growth
Assist in the implementation of talent reviews and succession plan
The successful candidate will have the following skills, competencies and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related area of study
At least 10 years of related experience
HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc
Executive Management and Strategy
Experience working with, coaching and influencing leaders and a desire to make them successful
Experience in the financial services sector is a plus
Results-driven, solutions-oriented with proven ability to follow through in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with an adaptive, collaborative and positive mindset
Attention to detail and a passion for internal and external customer support
Demonstrated ability to deliver and communicate major initiatives across an organization
Ability to work independently or in teams and manage time and projects effectively
HR Competencies, Policy and Compliance
Strong technical HR knowledge including but not limited to compensation, benefits, employee relations, employment laws, FLSA, FMLA, employee relations, staffing and selection, performance management, training and development
High knowledge of people related best practices demonstrated success working as a strategic partner
Proven organizational and HR leadership experience within a high-growth organization
Experience managing benefits and total rewards
HR & Benefits Compliance & Reporting experience
Experience with 1099 compliance
Firm Culture and Employee Relations
Experience working effectively as the principal HR contact and expert in an organization
Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with diverse client groups
Proven leader with sound conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
Strong working knowledge of applicable employment laws
Ability to work professionally with confidential information
Experience with EEOC a plus
Recruiting & Onboarding
Experience effectively managing onboarding programs
Talent & Performance Management
Ability to identify organizational development needs and deliver relevant coaching or training as needed
Demonstrated experience leading performance management and talent development initiatives such as reviews, talent assessments, coaching, training and development
Ability to conduct group facilitation, coach and counsel managers at all levels
