PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

The Director of Human Resources is a multidimensional leadership-level role, building bridges across the organization and establishing collaborations between executives and direct support professionals.
The Director of Human Resources is a fulltime exempt hybrid (remote and in office) position
The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the Deputy Executive Director.
The salary for this position is $80,000 – 100k

• Development and adherence to compliance related to all onboarding, active and terminating documentation including but not limited to job descriptions, offer letters, performance improvement plans, disciplinary action, evaluations etc.
• Overseeing the hiring process: including advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, conducting reference and background checks, drafting offer letters.
• Identifying trends and solutions agency wide to all human resources related scenarios including but not limited to personnel performance, training needs, vacancies and more.
• Oversee the appropriate maintenance of up-to-date personnel information and files in our HRIS system to move away from paper storage of files.
• Overseeing and processing payroll as needed implementing new systems and procedures to create efficiencies
• Administering and monitoring employee benefits and eligibility
• Completing and/or overseeing paperwork to external agencies including workers compensation claims, unemployment claims, verification of employment, etc.
• Maintain, develop and implement relevant HR procedures such as the employee handbook, HR procedures, system and position expectations and more.
• Ensuring management actions conform to employee handbook and labor laws
• Liaison with legal counsel to discuss HR related issues as needed
• Addressing personnel-related issues and training leadership on such i.e participating in disciplinary and termination meetings
• Utilize, develop and implement technologies to create efficiencies throughout the agency by using programs such as Paycom or eVero
• All other responsibilities deemed necessary by your supervisor.

Travel Requirements – May require travel to off-site locations and events.

Director of Human Resources
Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR administrator or executive demonstrating leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or similar industry (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience working with or leading teams in the social services industry.
• Experience in and proven success with working in a changing, fast-paced, mid-sized growth organization.
• Financial and business acumen, technology savvy, and can drive talent to grow the organization.
• Experience with human resources strategy to support strategic direction.
• Experience in strategically and tactically evaluating and implementing HR related systems.
• Superior interpersonal listening and communication and presentation skills. The ability to adapt quickly and build relationships, engage, and motivate.
