Physicians Mutual Hiring for Manager, Human Resources at Omaha, Nebraska Full Time

The Human Resources Manager will manage employee recruitment and employee relations programs supporting over 140 managers and 1,000+ employees. The Manager would actively recruit for roles, lead strategic efforts to attract, retain and develop talent, as well as manage the overall recruitment cycle. The manager will also lead initiatives for employee relations and development activities to foster an engaging workplace.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or closely related field is required.
• Approximately 6 to 8 years of experience in recruitment and organizational development is required.
• Stong knowledge of all aspects of Human Resources functions is strongly preferred.
• Prior managerial experience is strongly preferred.
• PHR, SPHR or related professional designation is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:

• Proven working knowledge of EEO Uniform Guidelines, ADA and FMLA regulations and any changes or updates in laws pertaining to employment decisions.
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of regulations governing employee recruitment.
• Ability to manage staff, prioritize and delegate task on a daily basis.
• Ability to work effectively in an advisory/resource capacity with employees, officers, directors, managers, and supervisors.
• Proficient in PC applications including Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint plus HR development tools and software.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and written/oral communication skills to provide recommendations, work direction and evaluate employee performance.
• Project management and implementation skills with the ability to formulate and pursue long range plans and objectives to effectively take ideas from conception to implementation.
• Strong communication skills across multiple media types and delivery methods.
• Strong orientation to quality, continuous improvement and customer service.
• Strong negotiating, assessment, and evaluating skills.
• Understanding of Company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work with highly confidential information such as salary programs, employee file information, and disciplinary actions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management.
• Ability to focus on multiple projects, work independently, and make decisions regarding areas of responsibility.
