GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As an Human Resources Generalist, you will provide full spectrum human resources support to the organization, as well as supporting the Human Resources Manager in every area of human resources, maintaining a focus on internal relations to both management and staff. The ideal person will provide customer satisfaction through competent administration of duties, a sense of urgency, and a high degree of integrity. Areas of focus will include talent acquisition, employee engagement, and change management initiatives. In this role, you will have a chance to share and continuously develop your skills as well as participate in HR projects, driving your own individual growth, and opportunities within the organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as primary HR point of contact for employees in assigned business group
Provide HR support and consultation; promptly answering employee and manager inquiries regarding PLEXSYS policies, procedures, and general HR information, analyzing unique situations for appropriate policy implementation and/or escalation
Support employment life cycle including talent acquisition, new hire programs, onboarding, employee development, etc.
Support the HR department in implementing programs to improve employer branding and the employee experience
Support talent acquisition and workforce planning for assigned business group positions including collaborating with hiring managers on recruitment strategy, maintaining job descriptions, conducting interviews, and initiating pre-employment requirements
Perform workforce analysis utilizing employee survey results, workforce demographic data, and retention statistics to help identify issues and trends
Assist as needed with compensation information for contract bids and proposals
Build strong relationships with both employees and business leaders across the organization
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
Advise and train managers and supervisors on employee relations and facilitate employee engagement initiatives
Special projects and miscellaneous duties as needed or assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Organizational:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
Ability to think creatively and participate fully, interacting with employees at all levels
Develop strong, trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results
Self-directed and motivated with the ability to juggle multiple projects
Good research skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Punctual, dependable and shows initiative in taking on additional responsibilities
Technical:
Experience and knowledge in Human Resources disciplines including but not limited to Employee Relations, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits Administration, Workers Compensation, Leave of Absence, ADA, etc.
Current working knowledge of state and federal employment law with an emphasis on Oklahoma state employment and labor law
Education, Experience, and Misc.:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or relevant discipline required
3+ year of experience providing HR support or other directly related type work required, preferably in a small to medium size organization
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
