The
Electrician position provides journey-level electrical services and assists with planning, installation, and maintenance activities for
electrical and low voltage systems at Portland State University. Primary responsibilities include:
Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability
to work with a diverse range of people. They will demonstrate their knowledge of industry best practices in commercial electrical systems,
using manual and power tools, to work safely in the presence of the public while maintaining a professional demeanor as well as a safe,
orderly and clean worksite.
Facilities and Property Management (FPM) comprises approximately 80 full time and 60 student
employees who work together to maintain over 5 million square feet in downtown Portland, and this team is a key element in the department.
