Precision Metal Industries, Inc Hiring for Shipping and Receiving Specialist at Pompano Beach, FL Full Time

Precision Metal Industries has been a trusted partner for custom manufacturing and fabrication services. For over 30 years, our mission is to manufacture and deliver the highest-quality parts to our customers. We are searching for a motivated Shipping and Receiving Specialist that will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment by performing the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Attach shipping labels on packed cartons to stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Determines method of shipment.
• Insert items into containers.
• Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes items to departments.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials, supplies, and finished goods.
• Operate tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage work area.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must have Valid driver’s license
• Basic Computer skills
• Be able to multi-task
• Be dependable and work well in a team environment
• Must be able to read and write
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
