Description
We are looking for an exceptional, innovative, resourceful, and self-driven Human Resources Generalist to join our People team as we continue to scale all things people. The HR Generalist will partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to ensure a first-class employee experience and become a trusted partner to our employees. The ideal candidate will contribute at tactical and strategic levels and help cultivate a community culture.
Why is this role important?
As Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in assisting with the execution and delivery of value-added HR services, including but not limited to employee experience and community-building initiatives.
What will you do at Presence?
Own new hire onboarding ensuring a smooth candidate-to-employee transition.
Manage and own our HR systems (Greenhouse, ADP, Lattice, and Knoetic metrics).
Managing our HR queue, fielding our employees’ questions, and responding promptly.
Monitor our non-exempt employees for overtime and meal and rest break compliance.
Oversee the completion and submission of all required compliance filings.
Organize departmental and employee files, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
Generate internal documents such as offer letters and change notices.
Own, monitor, and report on our key HR metrics.
Support leave of absence administration and provide end-to-end case management, including researching and solutioning leave issues and resolving claim-specific questions and discrepancies.
Process and complete verifications of employment, unemployment claims, and garnishments.
Serve as the benefits administrator for medical, dental, vision, 401K, and disability plans.
Provide backup support and take on special projects for the team as needed.

3+ years of experience working as an HR professional in a fast-paced, high-growth environment as a tactical and strategic partner.
Excellent follow-through, execution, judgment, and sense of humor.

Able to manage change and resolve conflicts effectively.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and across the organization.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in HRIS systems, preferably ADP WorkForceNow

Where is this position located?
Presence is headquartered in New York City with our clients located throughout the U.S.
This role can be located in New York or remote working eastern time zone hours.
This position will report directly to the Director of People Operations.
