Senior HR Compliance Analyst – Remote
Job Description
The Senior Human Resources Compliance Analyst is responsible for the coordination, oversight, and management of various regulatory and compliance processes within Human Resources (HR). This position will interface cross-functionally with HR, with departments across the organization, and outside vendors.
Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on HR Compliance related matters; respond to inquiries and requests; troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex compliance problems by referring to best practices, precedence, policies and standard operating procedures, and apply effective communication strategies to ensure understanding and adherence
Manage the HR portion of, and serve as point of contact for HR’s business continuity plan and corporate audits, accreditations, client requests, RFP responses, and related activities (i.e., corrective action plans)
Research, interpret, and monitor HR related legislation; identify potential impact(s) and lead cross-functional HR teams on the analysis, recommendation, and implementation of applicable federal, state and local regulations; ensure required compliance documentation (i.e., notifications, posting) are accurate and provided timely
Lead compliance reporting; partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely submissions (e.g., EEO-1, California Pay Data, etc.)
Oversee the process and timely completion of HR Compliance employee tasks (e.g., I-9’s, trainings, checklists, attestations and acknowledgements, etc.)
Develop and deliver compliance training, maintain compliance tools, resources, and process documentation, and manage HR compliance inbox
Serve as the HR lead for records retention and information management process and coordinate the process to maintain and/or update HR documents such as standard operating procedures, desktop procedures, policies, business continuity plan, etc.
Manage the internal immigration processes, establish immigration guidance for business partners, and partner with external counsel to process cases and required documentation

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience; HS Diploma or GED is required
5 years of work experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory focused role within Human Resources
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Ability to handle stressful situations with confidence and diplomacy
Strong attention to detail, well organized and able to manage time effectively
Ability to analyze data and interpret requirements with a high level of accuracy and consistency
Proven ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
Demonstrated understanding of state and federal employment and labor and HR compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
7 years of experience working in compliance, legal, or regulatory focused role within Human Resources
2 years of experience researching and interpreting HR and/or employment regulations
PHR (Professional Human Resources) Certification, Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
