Job Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with a 9-month academic appointment, beginning Fall 2024. The successful
candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, mentor undergraduate students on senior design projects and
masters-level graduate students on thesis research and perform research and scholarship. Applicants in all areas of computer engineering
will be considered. Candidates with teaching and research expertise in software engineering, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and
virtual/augmented reality are encouraged to apply.
Department
The Department of Electrical and Computer
Engineering offers ABET-accredited baccalaureate degree programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, and a graduate
master’s program in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The department provides excellent teaching and learning opportunities with
state-of-the-art equipment, design studio, laboratories, and centers.
School
The School of Engineering at PNW
comprises three departments: Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Closely affiliated
with the School are two distinguished and award-winning research centers, the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation
(CIVS) and the Purdue Water Institute (PWI).

Education
A Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering or a related field is required. The degree must be earned by August 12,
2024.
