Job Description
The Director of Human Resources – Managed Hotels is responsible for supporting the HR strategy by partnering with all areas of the Human Resources Department including: Core HR (HR Business Partners), Total Rewards, Culture and Responsible Business, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Technology, and Communications. This position will provide strategic HR consultation and business partnering to the managed hotels portfolio within RHGA. The Director of HR – MH is accountable for various associate processes and programs across the Managed Hotels organization and will deliver solutions, advise leaders, and manage project work. Oversight of the MH HR organization is also a responsibility of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- -Operates as a strategic HR advisor and business partner to leaders within the Managed Hotel teams
-Leads the HR function via a team of HRBPs and HR Coordinators assigned to Managed Hotels
-Identifies strategic opportunity to grow the HR function in the Managed Hotels portfolio.
-Delivers effective HR solutions and advises Radisson Hotel leaders to enable the business.
-Collaborates with internal and external partners to resolve issues, and promptly follow up with associates and MH leaders.
-Responsible for fielding HR related questions, addressing concerns timely, and proactively keeping stakeholders informed by partnering with MH leadership and overseeing HR support in the field.
-Responsible for supporting the planning, communication, and execution of company-wide cyclical processes including processes like performance management, talent review and retention initiatives.
-Consults, guides and advises managers on completing HR initiatives and processes as well as consulting with them on decisions and needed actions.
-Consults with leaders and HR Business Partners on decisions related to compensation, promotions, and associate movement and collaborates with HR as needed.
-Develops strong partnerships and relationships with the HR team and clients to enable the HR strategy.
-Provides oversight of associate programs such as service anniversaries, exit interviews and other ad-hoc programs/projects across the associate lifecycle
-Supports the restructuring processes in partnership with the broader HRBP team, including ownership for the Separation Agreement templates, tracking and coordinating severance payments, mailing separation packets and assisting with associate and manager questions and needs
-Manages associate termination processes through oversight of HR support
-Provides oversite and support for the unemployment claim process
-Manages efforts related to the HR Strategic Plan for the Americas HR team.
-Provides counseling, coaching and support to business leaders and Managed Hotels HR teams on Associate Relations matters in the areas of performance management, corrective action and terminations of employment.
-Visits Managed Hotels periodically, encouraging face to face meetings with stakeholders
-Serves as a culture ambassador for Managed Hotels
-Partners with appropriate internal teams to develop content for associate communications
-Stays abreast of trends in human resources, associate relations and employment practices to help support the evolution of our company culture
-Other duties and project work as assigned.
Requirements:
- -Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
-3-5+ years of Human Resources related work experience including Associate Relations
-Ability to consult, guide and advise managers
-Demonstrated skills and abilities in one or more of the following HR COE areas: associate relations, talent acquisition, compensation, HR Technology, or learning and development.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
-Solid time management, organization and project management skills
-Proactive communicator
-Demonstrated ability to lead people effectively
-Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities at once
-Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
