The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator. This role is key to the functioning of our business and industry. You will have a thorough knowledge of the supply chain, road freight and warehousing industry from a customer service focus.
The position is responsible for:
- Monitoring incoming purchase orders and container unpacking for the Division
- Checking inbound stock reports and entering stock into our ERP system.
- Releasing of stock as material becomes available
- Investigating stock discrepancies
- Organising the product and stock within the warehouse
- Coordinating samples for customers and drawing samples from the warehouse.
- Organising stock conversions and stock transfers between warehouses
- Conducting stocktake as required and investigate stock discrepancies
- Customer service and Admin duties
The Person:
The ideal candidate must display exceptional attention to detail, verbal and written skills, excellent time management and be computer literate in the Microsoft suite.
- Have a desire to work in the logistics industry and develop their knowledge
- Ideally have a sound experience of warehouse and distribution or the desire to become versed in this field.
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to manage and prioritise tasks
- Ability to liaise with a variety of people – including customers, transport/shipping companies and across teams/functions.
