Human Resources Manager

Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting the Reliant Human Resources Department in implementing initiatives that are strategically aligned to the department and the growth of the company with an emphasis on continuous improvement. A successful candidate must understand the importance of establishing and constantly reinforcing the Company Vision and how HR plays an integral part in driving the success of these priorities. The Human Resources Manager is a full time, exempt position that reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer. This position is not eligible for telecommuting.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supports all functions of Reliant’s Human Resource Department
• Assists with creating and developing HR strategy in alignment with the senior leadership
• Provides feedback to coach leaders for specific measured results, and identify potential gaps within the department
• Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
• Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
• Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings
• Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Handles routine administrative duties with company benefit programs
• Notifies broker of applicable insurance elections and changes
• Handles administrative functions of workers’ compensation program
• Assists department in fulfilling HR Departmental training requirements
• Verifies all timecards are approved and submits for processing of Payroll
• Responds to unemployment compensation claim requests and participates in hearings
• Assist Accounting department with the preparation, auditing and distribution of payroll
• Orders background checks on new hires and employees
• Handles employment verification requests
• Other duties as assigned

• Three to Five (3 to 5) years of progressive HR experience
• Strong background in training and HR Manager experience
• Experience in implementing new strategic HR programs
• Firm understanding of Federal and State Human Resource related legislation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation development and delivery skills
• Working knowledge MS Office Suite, Payroll, ATS and HRIS systems
• Ability to resolve and defuse complex personnel situations
• Experience with compensation job banding
• Bachelor’s Degree required; PHR/SHRM-CP a plus
• Worked in a call center or customer service focused environment highly desirable
