Program Summary
RHD Montgomery County Recruitment & Retention
Through this project, we will improve quality of and access to behavioral healthcare in 12 programs serving nearly 4,000 individuals throughout Montgomery County by strengthening our internal hiring and retention practices for behavioral health staff. The pandemic has led to an increased demand of behavioral healthcare services. At the same time, providers including RHD face staffing shortages, resulting in alarming gaps in behavioral healthcare. In partnership with our program leadership the goal of this initiative is to support a series of interventions to attract new staff, retain our valuable existing staff, and thus improve quality of and access to care, which will in turn improve behavioral health outcomes for the greater community.
RHD employees and programs in the City of Philadelphia are required to follow the COVID vaccine mandate. Revised PDPH guidance allows for new hires to be partially vaccinated at the time of hire. This means they have received at least one shot in a two-dose series or a single dose in a one-dose series before beginning in-person shifts. The final dose must be received within 8 weeks of hire (start date). This currently does not include boosters.
