Reports to: Corporate Director, Human Resources
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Corporate Director, Human Resources the HR Coordinator will be responsible for processing new hires, changes, and terminations, maintaining employee files, departmental filing, and other duties as assigned. The HR Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for the creation and distribution of various reports i.e. employee listings, biweekly payroll summaries, hours worked, etc. Human Resources is an integral part of our business, responsible for creating a work environment of inclusion, respect, and trust.
Critical Accountabilities:
Assist in the processing of all new hires, changes, and terminations.
Onboarding administration in ADP and processing background screening.
Assist in creating and delivering new employee orientation packages for employment and benefits.
Create orientation programs.
Maintain employee files.
Assistance with putting together a monthly newsletter.
Maintain PTO balancing and reconciliations.
Workers Compensation administration, TriageNow oversight, and annual OSHA logs.
EEOC Reporting.
Employment verifications.
Respond to employee inquiries.
Assist with 401K and benefits administration.
Create/distribute reports in ADP.
Maintaining Ripley’s organizational chart and corporate directory.
Discreetly handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature.
Provide support to the Director of Human Resources as required and all other duties as assigned.
Special Skills and Requirements:
2 years of HR experience and/or administration experience.
Familiarity with ADP WorkForce Now a definite asset.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook email.
Accurate data entry skills.
Detail oriented.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Deadline driven.
Discretion and professionalism in handling personal and payroll-related information are essential to the job.
