Executive Chef
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and creative chef who works efficiently and has
knowledge of a variety of cuisines and cooking methods. The ideal candidate should be
comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have a desire to provide an
exceptional dining experience for our guests and be proficient in all food ordering and
cost management processes.
Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for planning and preparing 3 farm to table, delicious meals daily and in a timely fashion for 20-30 people
• Cooking/baking meals such as Chuck Wagon Dinner, Sunset cocktail hours,

BBQ’s, serving meals, operating buffets etc.

• Maintains ambiance controlling lighting, background music, linen service,

glassware, dinnerware and utensil quality and placement

• Check in and assist in putting away food deliveries when needed
• Ensures food is maintained at proper serving temperatures
• Ensures stoves, grills, ovens and other kitchen equipment are off when not in use
• Monitoring food presentation and service of kitchen and wait staff
• Follows recipes and able to compute basic mathematical calculations
• Knowledge of safe food handling, follow and enforce safety regulations
• Manage kitchen/wait staff in a professional, calm and upbeat manner
• Controls cost by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation to

minimize waste while ensuring high quality of preparation

• Keep track of inventory appropriately and efficiently and order food and staples

as required

• Meets restaurant financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an

annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating
corrective actions
Minimum qualifications include:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in all aspects of fine dining, with 2 years as a Sous

Chef or higher level.

• Nonsmoker, drug free.
• Mature, professional leader that has a passion for teaching and developing others
• Love of the outdoors and a desire to live in a wholesome, rural setting
• Desire for personal growth and leadership
• Passion for creating a kitchen culture that is professional and fun, with an “others

first”, servant-hearted attitude

• Positive attitude and acknowledge and greet all guests as you meet them around

the ranch

• Respect the guest’s personal property and privacy

• Accomplish all daily assigned tasks

• Strong cost management skills
• Good role model and honest with a strong work ethic
• Able to accept guidance and correction with a positive and respectful attitude
