Due to our fantastic growth, Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, one of the country’s most prestigious fertility centers, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist/Collections Coordinator to work in our Manhattan office.
The responsibilities include:
- Revenue management
- Knowledge of accounts receivable aging reports
- Ability to identify, investigate and resolve outstanding claims and ensure timely reimbursement
- Communicating with patients to collect outstanding balances
- Reading and understanding insurance explanation of benefits. Includes differentiating between charges, contractual adjustments, denials reasons, patient responsibility (co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles), etc.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be required to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers, patients, clinical staff and insurance companies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, detailed-oriented, and computer savvy. Proficient in all Microsoft programs, specifically Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Minimum 1 to 4 years of Medical business office experience, with working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections, insurance/benefits/authorizations, and patient interaction is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- High level of customer service experience is essential.
