Description A growing client is working with Robert Half to hire a Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Major responsibilities
– Explore compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits
– Understand and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings
– Assist employees such that they follow all policies and procedures
– Grow the organization’s human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
– Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
– Institute management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
– Monitor reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs
– Outline recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws
– Oversee exit interviews and procedures
– Lead human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
– Lead all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team
– Represent your team at interdepartmental meetings with other managers Requirements – Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to view issues objectively
– Solid understanding of HR software and strong familiarity of MS Office
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
– Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
– 5+ years in human resources
– Unimpeachable ethics, integrity, and standards
– 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
– Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
– Deep knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
– Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
– A comprehension of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations
– PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are desired
