Description If you love Human Resources and you’re looking for an engaging, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role involves various HR duties, including recruiting, owning new hire orientation, managing the employee handbook, and handling employee relations.
Your responsibilities
– Accountable for completing various tasks and the daily operations of the HR department
– Compare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures
– Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
– Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
– Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
– Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
– Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
– Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
– Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
– Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
– Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
– Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations Requirements – Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
– B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
– Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
– Proven understanding local, state and federal laws
– Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus
– Excellent written and verbal business skills
– Are you highly professional? Are you able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity?
– Experience with full cycle recruiting
– Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
– Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
