The Human Resources Generalist will perform administration of activities encompassing all major functions of human resources to include recruiting, benefits, employee relations, payroll, and safety. Knowledge of all human resources activities and procedures in addition to company policies is required to use discretion and tact in the processing of information of a confidential and sensitive nature while frequently exercising independent judgment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support recruiting activities by maintaining internal posting processes; conducting external recruitment activities to include managing the applicant tracking system by posting open positions, sourcing candidates, and screening applications; schedule and assist with conducting interviews & pre-employment testing and conduct orientations.
Administer, track and case manage short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD), leave of absences, including FMLA.
Educate employees on various benefits and assist with open enrollment. Maintain contact with insurance companies to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees
Perform various administrative duties related to human resources: employee correspondence, training/presentation materials, building new hire packets, file & organize records, etc.
Enter new hire, employment change, and employment termination information into the HRIS system. Run and analyze reports as needed/requested.
Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs and provide guidance and interpretation.
Assist managers and supervisors with performance management & discipline opportunities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Coordinate performance review and exit interview processes and maintain records; conduct analysis as needed.
Assist with Payroll entry, as needed.
Administer, track and assist in management of Worker’s compensation. Assist with review/revision of safety training, safety policies, procedures, and communication.
Assists the HR Manager with various projects, as needed. Performs other duties, as assigned.
