The Senior Manager, Benefits (“Senior Manager”) is responsible for designs, plans, and implementation of fully and self-insured employee benefits and retirement plans in a global environment. This position reports to the Director, Benefits and additionally coordinates with Human Resource Business Partners, 401(k) Committee, Legal, Accounting, Payroll and IT functions, as well as develops and manages key vendor relationships.

People:
Manages employee, vendor, and broker relationships including benefit inquiries, complaints, and issues to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.
Client:
Partners with benefit broker to deliver recommendations supported by analysis and best practices, ensuring alignment with Firm and HR strategy.
Value:
Manages various employee benefits programs on a global basis, including medical, dental, life, disability, vision, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, health club subsidies, relocation, adoption assistance, global mobility, international pension/superannuation schemes, and COBRA.
Supports the development of specifications for new benefit plans or modifications to existing plans to maintain Firm’s competitive position in market, and to obtain uniform benefit package for all Firm locations, where possible.
Facilitates wellness-focused initiatives by making innovative design recommendations and implementing proposed solutions.
Coordinates and executes annual plan renewals and enrollments, including the evaluation of proposals, the modification of benefit materials, the coordination of enrollment meetings, and the transmission of enrollment data to vendors.
Manages the benefits budget, including forecast adjustments, variance explanations, reporting, and cost management.
Reviews and evaluates plan documents and materials to ensure appropriate provisions and coverage.
Manages all leaves of absences and coordinates associated short- and long-term disability claims.
Responsible for the benefits and absence management module in the HRIS system.
Provides oversight for the Firm’s 401(k) plan, including coordination of the plan’s annual valuation and audit.
Supports the Firm’s workers’ compensation program, including the coordination of multiple state requirements, injury, treatment and reporting coordination, and the annual workers’ compensation audit.
Supports the benefit plan strategy, coordination, implementation, and ongoing administration for international employees.
Coordinates the maintenance of employee benefit files and all carrier, vendor, and plan files.
Contributes to the preparation and review of the benefits analysis process and due diligence as well as integration for mergers and acquisitions.
Ensures compliance of international, federal, state, and local benefit laws and regulations, ensuring that all filing and regulatory requirements are met. Stays up-to-date on all regulations pertaining to the administration of employee benefit programs.
Manages and maintains benefit materials on the Employee Self-Service website, ensuring all content is current and up-to-date for all locations (country specific offerings).
Designs, reviews and updates benefits communications.
Participates on committees, special projects, and seeks additional responsibilities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required with at least seven to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in benefits administration in a global environment.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, HRIS, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. Cognos reporting capabilities are a strong plus.
Requires supervisory responsibilities, including managing projects, training employees, assigning work, and making sound business decisions while representing the Firm.
