U.S. Engineering is seeking a full time human resources professional. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be professional, friendly, and comfortable working in a small office environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Collaborate with management to understand hiring objectives
· Responsible for the recruitment process including advertising, identifying candidates, screening & interviewing candidates, performing reference checks
· Utilizes different sourcing strategies in order to fill open positions
· Relays basic policy information & resolves routine questions to employees in a timely and professional manner
· Assists with developing or updating existing policies & procedures
· Assists with compliance with all local, state & federal regulations including monitoring anticipated legislation and advising management
· Able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Maintaining a system for tracking candidates and open positions
· Handles new FMLA requests & tracking of existing requests
· Responsible for influencing & encouraging a safety-conscious company culture
Qualifications
· Associates degree in Human Resources with 1 – 3 years’ experience preferred
· Strong professional oral & written communication skills
· Thorough knowledge of HR best practices and local labor laws & regulations
· Ability to prioritize various job responsibilities
· Excellent problem solving and communication skills
· Extreme discretion with sensitive & confidential information
· Ability to apply common sense understanding
· Uses an objective approach toward decision making
· Experience in engineering & manufacturing environments is a plus

Physical Work Conditions
The physical demands required to successfully perform the job are as follows.

Proper personal protective equipment must be worn when required
Reporting Structure
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility and will report to the President and Controller.
