SAIC USA Hiring for Logistics Manager at Orion, MI Full Time

• 1. Oversee facility management of Lake Orion, Michigan consolidation center, including: a. Oversee adherence of Lake Orion KPI’s b. Oversee facilities safety/ security procedures and audits, including fire and insurance inspections c. Oversee property management to ensure safe, clean and efficient operations d. Coordinate actions between warehouse management staff, including daily coordination meetings between all functions (warehouse, operations, transportation & drayage) 2. Provide support as key contact point for customers and service providers on operational issues. 3. Negotiate rates, terms and conditions for commercial agreements with Logistics service providers – data collection, round-by-round negotiations, and alternative analysis; 4. Manage supplier relations with key service providers; 5. Develop and maintain Statement of Requirement (SOR) for all Logistics functions (3PL, Ocean, Air, Packaging, New Business); 6. cost data, conduct periodic market testing to verify competitiveness; 7. Review current and potential Logistics supplier capabilities to support SAIC USA in current and future business, including conducting periodic on-site supplier reviews as required; 8. Support financial reporting and forecasting activities; 9. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or Business Management
• 5 years-experience in Logistics and trading in automotive industry, including managerial experience preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, secondary language skills are beneficial
• Strong planning, organization, coordination, cost analysis and communication skills
• Knowledge of enterprise management theory
• Understanding of needs & requirements, effective integration of transport, packaging and storage resources for designing a complete logistics solution
