Our Abrasives products are being used in every industry wherever and whenever metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, and other materials must be shaped, cut, ground, sanded, sharpened, or finished. Our major markets include automotive, aerospace, bearing, electronics, steel manufacturing and fabrication, woodworking for furniture, and construction.
The Human Resources Manager will support and partner with the site leadership team while managing all aspects of site level Human Resources. The incumbent is responsible for the establishment, implementation and administration of a wide range of Human Resources programs across multiple shifts of a 150 + employee manufacturing facility in Worcester, MA. The responsibility includes, but is not limited to employee relations, site level benefits support, recruiting, exit interviews, training, Human Resource Information Systems, compensation, employee retention and compliance with all applicable laws.
In addition, the HR Manager will assist the HR Business Leader and the Corporate Human Resource Department on implementation of strategic HR programs.
This position reports to the HR Business Leader and will play an important role with helping the site to achieve business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
HR Programs – Responsible to manage/administer all site level and/or business/region wide programs and implementation at the site level.
Compliance (Policies & Procedures) – Will establish, evaluate and lead the development, dissemination and interpretation of personnel policies and their implementation at the site, providing consultation to the management team. Will develop process to ensure adherence for compliance and records.
Partnering – Partners with the site leadership team to effectively deliver HR programs, employee engagement and business results. Provides counseling and advice on various Human Resources topics to support the business. Partnering encompasses all aspects of HR as well as EHS and WCM.
Training & Development – Lead the development of training procedures for the site and establish and maintain associated training documentation to drive effectiveness. Defines and creates training and site development needs, and, arrangement of the means of addressing those needs.
Employee Relations (Performance Management & Engagement) – Will manage employee relations and employee engagement/retention development.
Recruitment/Staffing & Workforce Planning – Responsible for needs identification, design and staffing of the site workforce. Proactively works with the management team to assess needs and identify the appropriate method for recruitment either internally or externally. Conducts proactive diverse outreach and relationship building in the areas of sourcing and recruitment, to attract, recruit and hire the best talent to complement our team.
