The Opportunity:
We are hiring a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for our Behavioral Health Team. This Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is a full-time role located primarily at Saint Luke’s North-Smithville. The primary patient population is adult with some adolescent.
Shift Details:
This position will work Monday through Friday day shift hours
Position may have a weekend and holiday commitment
The Work:

• Accountable for advanced nursing practice in the care of assigned patient populations
• Responsible for collecting and analyzing client health data
• Identifies appropriate expected outcomes
• Develop and implement plan of care
• Provide comprehensive clinical coordination of care and case management
• Provide consultation to influence plan of care for clients
• Enhance the abilities of others and effect change in the system
• Use prescriptive authority procedures and treatments in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations
• Evaluate clients progress in attaining expected outcomes
• Conduct nursing research
• Provide education to patients, families, nursing staff and case managers for high risk patients
• Provides direct health care services to clients of age groups in accordance with their certification primarily under the supervision of a licensed physician and secondarily under identified
• The APP will be responsible for the medical management of the psychiatric patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider
• The term Advanced Practice Provider encompasses Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
• The APP will have successfully completed a Master’s degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas).
• The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role.
• New grads and experienced Psychiatric APPs preferred
