Sea Mar seeks a full time Graphic and Web Designer to work out of its central Administration office in south Seattle. The Graphic and Web Designer is responsible for the design of all Sea Mar printed, graphic and web publications, and ensures that Sea Mar’s brand is carried out in all publications.
The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to compile, interpret, and utilize information; and to communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds and educational levels. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, use good judgement, meet deadlines, and prioritize workloads. Must be well organized and have good attention to detail. Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency with Adobe Create Suite, and must have a working knowledge of web design software, Dreamweaver is preferred. Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of web design and maintenance. Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required. Must be fully fluent in spoken and written English; bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
The Graphic and Web Designer’s primary responsibilities are to:
• Design content for brochures, flyers, annual report, website, social media and other publications.
• Provide management and oversight of agency websites including the main Sea Mar English and Spanish websites, and other departmental websites as necessary.
• Act as the organization’s brand manager by enforcing the Sea Mar’s branding guide and ensuring branding strategy is carried out consistently in all publications.
• Supports Sea Mar events by producing promotional materials and updating the website. Annual events include Seattle and Yakima golf tournaments, Fiestas Patrias, annual county holiday parties, Latino Legislative Day, National Health Center Week, Latino Health Forum, Latina Health Fair.
• Collects and maintains a database of quality stock photos for use in Sea Mar publications.
• Takes provider and manager photos for use in publications and on the website.
